International Volunteers Inspired by the Work of “Community in Support of the Addicted” Foundation

As part of the “Development of the Social Economy” project, international volunteers from Italy, France, Latvia, Poland, Ukraine, Greece, Algeria, Morocco, and Romania had the opportunity to visit the “St. Elijah” Therapeutic Center in Gabrovo. The visit, hosted by the “Community in Support of the Addicted” Foundation, offered a unique and inspiring insight into the center’s vital work in supporting individuals through personal transformation and successful social reintegration.


The volunteers were deeply moved by the foundation’s unwavering dedication to helping those struggling with addiction. During their visit, they learned about the therapeutic methods employed at the center and how these programs provide individuals with the tools they need to overcome addiction and rebuild their lives. The volunteers were particularly impressed by the compassionate approach and the long-term commitment the foundation shows in addressing these complex social issues.

Having witnessed firsthand the positive impact of this initiative, the volunteers returned home with new knowledge and a deep sense of admiration. They were eager to share the powerful example of solidarity, hope, and personal empowerment they experienced at the center with their communities and countries.
